JPC offers a diverse range of sporting activities aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and school spirit. The College participates in various inter-house sporting competitions, fostering a healthy competitive environment among students, supported by our House Spirit Coordinators.

John Paul College also hosts three major carnivals—Swimming, Cross Country, and Athletics—which are highlights of the school calendar. These events showcase students’ athletic talents and encourage widespread participation. Through these carnivals, students have the opportunity to be selected for the prestigious Associated & Catholic Colleges of WA (ACC), one of the largest independent school sporting associations in Australia. The ACC promotes Christian education ideals by encouraging mutual respect and acceptance through sporting, social, and recreational activities.

John Paul College also participates in interschool sports competitions, providing students with opportunities to represent their school and compete against peers from other institutions. In partnership with Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School, Goldfields Baptist College, Esperance Senior High School, and Esperance Anglican Community School, we actively promote participation in formal competitions. These events serve as the pinnacle of the sporting calendar for many students.
