Performing Arts: Music

Music forms a large part of the culture at John Paul College with many students choosing to learn a musical instrument or join a Music Ensemble. The College offers choirs for singers, concert bands and a jazz band for instrumentalists, and student-formed rock bands for contemporary musicians. As a part of many co-curricular performance opportunities, the Music Department regularly tour to Perth and Esperance to participate in music eisteddfods and festivals. Students can elect to join these Music Ensembles by speaking to staff in the Performing Arts Department. Rehearsals are held 1-2 times a week, before and after school.

Performing Arts: Musical Theatre Production

Each year the College presents a musical theatre production in May. All students from Year 7 through to Year 12 are welcome to be involved in the production on stage, or behind the scenes. The Production offers real-world performance and creative opportunities to students such as set painting and construction, stage make-up application, and of course performance experience. Rehearsals for the Production run twice a week from the beginning of the school year until the performance dates in May. Previous College Productions:
